About Emma

Hi! I’m Emma and I am a Pain Therapist, OldPain2Go® Master Practitioner and Authorised International Trainer.

I haven’t always been a Pain Therapist. I was a Paramedic for 17 years before I injured my back and had to take medical retirement. A few years later I discovered new way of helping people using Hypnotherapy and after completing my Diploma I opened my private practice and worked for over 3 years as a Hypnotherapist.

In May 2017 I became an OldPain2Go ®  Practitioner and had my chronic pain removed. I was promoted to Master Practitioner and Authorised Trainer in September 2017. OldPain2Go ®  is not hypnosis – no trance is required.

Since then I have worked with hundreds of clients and trained over 100 Practitioners all over the world including Australia, Europe and the USA.

Because I know how it feels to suffer chronic pain, to feel like I had lost everything I can fully empathise. The good news is I now know how it feels to come out the other side and I am so passionate to help you and show you that it is not the end. I want you to get your life back like I have!

In June 2019 I made the decision to solely focus on Pain Therapy and specialise in helping people in persistent and chronic pain. My mission is to help as many people as possible get rid of their old pain through working directly with clients and also that ripple effect of training Practitioners to help others too.

When I’m not working, I’m usually doing my other “job” of being a mum to my lively 10-year-old son and spending quality time with my husband, who is an Emergency Department Consultant Doctor (yes, we met at work over 20 years ago!) I also sing classical music, enjoy reading, yoga and spending time with friends.

My Chronic Pain Story

In 2010 I suffered a severe back injury which ultimately led to medical retirement from my 17-year career as a Paramedic.

I couldn’t lift my baby, I couldn’t even roll over in bed. I lived in a haze due to strong pain killers and had been in constant pain ever since.

After a having an operation that failed I went on a mission to find the answer and like anyone in chronic pain I tried everything – steroid injections, nerve blocks, strong medication, physiotherapy, chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncture, ultrasound, tens machine, support belts, electromagnetic pulse, reiki, heat, cold etc etc!

Until May 2017, now I have no pain – I am pain free!

In 2015 I retrained as a hypnotherapist helping people mainly with anxiety, phobias, smoking and weight loss. It was then that I discovered OldPain2Go ®. I was amazed and wanted to know more.

It was important for me to be able to have tried it myself so that I could share my experience with others. I’m a natural sceptic!

Not only did I receive the treatment which removed my 7 year back pain, I also completed my training and became a Practitioner in May 2017.

Since then I have been pain free, I don’t take any medication and have been able to live my life to the full – I’m able to walk anywhere without worrying if I will manage it, play football in the garden with my son, do exercise and even (unfortunately) the hoovering! Its fantastic not to need emergency pain killers on hand at all times. I even ski/parasailed off a mountain in France recently!

I have now helped hundreds of people reduce and remove their pain and I now train other Practitioners locally and internationally from Aberdeen to Australia!

I am fully accredited and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the General Hypnotherapy Register (GQHP)

CNHC is on the accredited register with the professional standards authority.

I am fully insured with Oxygen Insurance.

Qualifications

I regularly attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and webinars. Constant CPD is a requirement of my professional registration which enables me to keep up to date with the latest practices and techniques to give you the best help.
