Booking Terms and Conditions
In these terms and conditions terms the “Company” and/or “We” refer to Emma Armes Pain Therapy.
On booking your appointment you will be given confirmation of costs, cancellation policy, payment details etc which you should read and make sure you are happy with. Along with your payment you will be asked to give your contact details. This will then form an agreement between you and the Company for your therapy. Once payment has been received you will be emailed directions to the property.
Therapy
Successful sessions rely on your commitment and motivation. When you agree to partake in your therapy sessions, you, as the client also agree to be fully involved and committed to the process which also may include listening to an audio if provided. This also includes attending your sessions and arriving on time.
You accept that treatment is offered on the basis of the information you supply, which you represent and warrant to be complete and truthful.
Ongoing sessions will always be discussed with you and you will have the right to express your preferences regarding your treatment plan and timeframe.
You are free to end or withdraw from therapy at any time. The cost of any sessions paid for in advance but not used will be refunded on request, unless as part of a package, subject to our cancellation policy. Refunds will reflect the actual price paid if special offers have been used.
Sessions
Your Pain Therapy sessions will last approximately 2 hours each, please allow yourself enough time for this. If you are getting collected please make sure your lift arrives on time as the premises may need to be closed at the end of your session.
If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to make a full session available, but this often depends on appointments subsequent to your booking and so cannot be guaranteed. If your session needs to be curtailed due to your late arrival, then the session fee remains payable in full.
Your session will take place at Emma Armes Pain Therapy based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK (face to face or online) unless stated otherwise.
Home visits may be available in some circumstances. This would incur extra fees. Please enquire for more details if you require this.

Cancellation Policy
We appreciate at least 48-hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, so that we may offer it to someone else. The charge for sessions cancelled with less than 48-hour’s notice will be up to 50% of the full session fee.
The Company reserves the right to cancel an appointment at their sole discretion, this will only be in exceptional circumstances and as much notice as is possible will be given. The Company shall not be liable for any financial or other consequences of the cancellation.
Disclaimer:
We will always do our best to help you achieve a successful outcome to your therapy. However, you accept that an agreement to work on an issue does not mean that a particular outcome to therapy can be guaranteed. Fees are payable for your sessions and the time and expertise of the consultants, regardless of the outcome. Results may differ from person to person.
Pain Therapy Disclaimer:
If you wish to reduce or stop any medication, then medical support must be obtained. This appointment does not take the place of medical advice and assistance. You will be accepting full responsibility for turning the pain off, and advised to take note of any new pain, if it arises, and seek medical attention.
Standards of Behaviour
We will use best practice at all times and adhere to the standards of conduct as stated by my governing bodies.
In return by attending your session you agree to the following standards of behaviour:
- Be free from drugs and alcohol (except medication prescribed by your doctor)
- You will not harm yourself or others (including any employees of the Company) or any property belonging to the Company or others
- Take your therapy seriously and treat the Company and the Company’s consultants with respect
- If you demonstrate violent, abusive or anti-social behaviour, the Company reserves the right to cancel the session and any future sessions and/or treatment.
For supervision and training purposes and continuing professional development (CPD) anonymous case histories may be shared with other Therapists or Therapy publications (including our website and Facebook page) Anonymous means your personal details are removed and no information that might identify you is used. If you do not wish your information to be used in this way, please inform the Company via email.
The Company will respect client confidentiality at all times except if:
- You reveal you intend to harm yourself or another person
- You reveal that a child is being abused or is in danger of abuse
- We are compelled to reveal information by a court order
- You reveal you are a member of a terrorist organisation – this must be reported to the police
- You reveal you are laundering money from the sale of drugs – this must be reported to the police
We are also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) which is the UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.
Questions or Complaints
If you have any questions or complaints about your therapy, you agree to talk to the Company about them first. If the Company can’t resolve the situation satisfactorily you then have access to the formal complaint’s procedure of the General Hypnotherapy Register.
